The Mains is a 125 acre farm situated atop the foothills of the
Great Smoky Mountains on a hardly-rivaled open yet rolling setting.

The Mains offers engagement through nightly rental of the farmhouse, an equestrian center,
unique event venues throughout the property
and is an emerging Agritourism location.
"Mains" is a Scottish word for "farm."
We choose The Mains to honor the rich Scottish heritage of the region and the owners.
Dating back to the late 1800's, this true farmhouse anchors the property. Later additions created modern, updated conveniences in the old house. The large and proper front porch offers dreamy escapes: enjoying a mug of coffee in the midst of the peaceful morning fog; soaking in the afternoon sun; basking in the light of varied sunsets and observing the merriment of horses stabled on the property. The pool and firepit offer seasonal outdoor enjoyment with
the adjacent deck serving as the wistful center of the exterior space where the mountains are omnipresent. The spacious farmhouse maintains sizable rooms throughout and is comfortably furnished, sleeping up to 11, with a fully equipped kitchen and snazzy media room. The farmhouse includes two king bedrooms, a double queen room,
a twin daybed and the supersized media pit created with two queen beds toe-to-toe.
We figure it's suitable to sleep two in the media room
given most visitors won't be up all night watching movies or playing games even though it is an option!
Accomplished and aspiring equestrians will find The Mains provides multiple riding options and equestrian events
in the outdoor arena, covered arena, jumps and riding trails. Whether you want to stable your horse on property, trailer-in your horse, engage with a trainer or trail ride at The Mains, we will work to accommodate
your specific needs.
All horse experiences are separately booked, as available, through Stables at The Mains.
